Job Description

As a Remote Actuarial Analyst, you will apply statistical methods and financial theories to assess risk and uncertainty in areas such as insurance, pensions, and healthcare. This role involves building predictive models, conducting trend analyses, and working with large datasets to support pricing, reserving, underwriting, and financial planning functions.

You will collaborate closely with actuaries, data scientists, finance professionals, and product managers to ensure data-driven insights support business strategy and regulatory compliance. This is a highly analytical position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and an ability to communicate complex results clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk assessment activities

Build and maintain statistical models to analyze claims experience, loss ratios, and premium adequacy

Assist in regulatory filings and compliance reporting (e.g., NAIC, DOI submissions)

Collaborate with underwriters, finance teams, and actuaries on business planning and rate development

Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate actuarial findings to internal stakeholders

Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks

Support actuarial audits and peer reviews to ensure model accuracy and consistency

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field

Proficiency with Excel and actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, AXIS, MoSes)

Experience with data tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, SAS)

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Familiarity with insurance, retirement, or healthcare actuarial domains
