Jet Pipe is a full line distributor and fabricator for both commercial and residential fire protection systems. Position Summary To serve as a multi-tasking laborer locating material, and moving material, by coordinating with numerous personnel and operating equipment in order to complete various construction projects. Experience Level Intermediate Primary Responsibilities And Duties Assist craftsman in setting up work as required Operate, clean and perform daily visuals of equipment, locate and move material by coordinating with numerous personnel Assist in rigging up heavy loads to equipment Operate fixed-mast forklifts (Hyster and similar) and extendable-boom forklifts (Lull and similar). Gain accountability of materials in the laydown yard for location, staging and delivery Perform preservation and maintenance duties on assigned equipment. Qualifications May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently. Requirements Able to meet all physical requirements. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Able to work occasional overtime and weekends as required by the workload Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
