The Mission of the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans. Under general supervision, the 2322 Nurse Manager (NICU) supervises the delivery and evaluation of nursing care and the care environment. The 2322 Nurse Manager (NICU) performs the following essential job functions:

Minimum Qualifications
- Required
SUBSTITUTION: Up to two (2) years of additional experience as an Assistant Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse/Clinical Educator in a general acute care hospital (a hospital which provides 24-hour inpatient care, including the following basic services: Medical, Nursing, Surgical, Anesthesia, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy and Dietary Services) may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis. Thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units equal one year.

One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).
