NOW HIRING: Prior Authorization Coordinator
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$24/hour
Duration: Temporary – 3-Month Project
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in medical billing or authorizations? We’re looking for a Prior Authorization Coordinator to support our team on a 3-month project. 

This position plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive timely care by managing the authorization process with accuracy and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Submit and track prior authorization requests

• Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits

• Communicate with providers, patients, and insurance companies

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Monitor and follow up on pending authorizations

• Process appeals as needed

• Identify and suggest improvements to workflow and procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in medical authorizations

• High school diploma required (Associate’s degree preferred)

• Strong understanding of insurance requirements and medical necessity criteria

• Proficiency with Athena or similar healthcare systems

• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Performance Expectations

• 90% success rate on initial authorization requests

• 24-hour turnaround on status updates

• Accurate authorization tracking

• Minimized authorization-related claim denials
