We are seeking a part-time Surgical Scrub Tech to assist during vascular procedures that are performed in an outpatient setting at Bloomfield Vein & Vascular. The typical work week entails working Tuesday and Wednesday, typically from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. We only perform outpatient procedures with an emphasis on vascular interventions that require fluoroscopy (x-ray imaging). 

The appropriate candidate will have knowledge of sterile technique, but it is not essential that they have any knowledge of vascular procedures. The individual may assist other members of the procedure team to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients.

• The individual demonstrates proficiency in setting up an OR table and ensuring the availability of the necessary supplies and equipment prior to each vascular procedure.
• The individual will also assist in draping the patient and establishing the sterile field, participate in the patient verification during the time-out procedure and secure ultrasound cords, tubing and other sterile accessories.

If you do not have experience assisting in outpatient vascular interventions, we will teach you. The job would also entail learning other aspects of patient care, that will complement your training. You will acquire new skills that will only enhance your experience.

• Graduation from an accredited program ideal but not required.

I opened Bloomfield Vein & Vascular (BVV) in July 2015. It was the first Office Based Lab (OBL) in Southeast Michigan run by a board certified Vascular Surgeon. We provide arterial and venous care to patients, without the constraints of the hospital. We have grown since 2015 and we now need additional personnel who can complement our team. We want to provide our patients with contemporary, comprehensive vascular care in a welcoming office setting.
