Position Details: Live-Out.

Location: Edgemont, NY.

Days: Monday-Friday.

Hours: 10 am - 7 pm.

Compensation: $37 to $40 per Hour.

Additional Benefits: Vacation, sick days, annual performance bonus, will consider health stipend.

Start Date: 9/2/2025.

An Edgemont, NY family is seeking an experienced housekeeper to maintain their high-end residence. Responsibilities include deep cleaning, laundry care, organization, meal preparation, and occasional childcare. The role also involves managing supplies, coordinating with vendors, and traveling with the family to the Hamptons in August. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to work seamlessly with household staff while maintaining discretion.

Main Work Duties: 

• Perform deep cleaning and maintain the overall cleanliness of the home. 
• Manage household laundry, including ironing and clothing care. 
• Oversee inventory management and organization of storage spaces. 
• Prepare evening meals for principals. 
• Grocery shopping (either online or at store) and household supply management.
• Follow a housekeeping manual/rotation of duties to ensure consistency. 
• Communicate with principals regarding household needs, suggestions, or changes. 
• Assist with childcare on occasion (e.g., covering for the nanny, school pick-ups/drop-offs, or supervising the children when needed). 
• Work with vendors as needed, including researching, scheduling, and overseeing visits. 
• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times.
• Must be able to travel to the Hamptons in August. 

Required Qualities:  

• Experienced in maintaining large, high-end residences. 
• Skilled in handling delicate furniture, fine surfaces, and specialty finishes.
• Honest, trustworthy, and proactive in communicating when issues arise.
• Highly organized, neat, and efficient in managing tasks. 
• Adaptable to the family’s needs and open to trying new systems or routines. 
• A team player who works collaboratively with the nanny and family staff.
• Flexible, reliable, and willing to step in to assist with childcare (incl. school drop off/pickup) if needed.

This role requires someone who takes pride in their work, understands what it takes to maintain a fine home, and is eager to be part of a supportive household team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ solid years experience has a housekeeper within a formal UHNW household.
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions precisely.
• Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
